This lake is so wonderful. You could also check out Lake Bedford if you're here at Silver Lake; it's close by, and a round of golf at nearby Keystone Golf & Country Club is a great way to kill some time. A fine close by hotel is Sleep Inn & Suites Waldo, and a great place to camp here at Silver Lake is Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State       Park. A large amount of rain falls at Silver Lake; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. It's a brilliant idea to visit Alligator Creek, it's near Silver Lake, and why not camp at Lake Swan Camp Office while you're here at Silver Lake. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Summertime highs at Silver Lake regularly tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down                  to the 60's.
