All the water falling down from the sky makes Sheppard Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls during July, and October on the other hand is the driest. Buzzard Lake is an out of the ordinary swamp next to Sheppard Lake, and Super 8 Motel Marianna is a glorious site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. You must beyond doubt explore West Wynnton Bend while you're here at Sheppard       Lake, and the Trail of the Lakes is a fine hiking trail nearby. Do explore Blue Lake next to Sheppard Lake, it's a wonderful lake, and of course The Bayou flows through this vicinity. This place is unbeatable, just check out all the amusing things to do close to Sheppard Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sheppard Lake has to offer, you can camp at Riverview RV Park. All through the warmest time of the year at Sheppard Lake temperatures                  are generally in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 60's while Sheppard Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's.
