There are plenty of people from Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach here at Scoggin Lake, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Daytona/Ormond Beach is a good site to spend a night or two. At Scoggin Lake throughout the warm months highs are in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 70's. is the driest.
If you're a golfer then a perfect nearby course is Indigo Lakes Golf Club, and a visit to Fort Matanzas National Monument is worthwhile.
