A perfect location to camp here at Sandy Pond is Ho Hum RV Park, and there are other locations here than Sandy Pond, for example Chason Ponds. At Sandy Pond throughout the summertime months highs are in the 90's, and the night is a bit cooler of course, usually in the 70's. Through the winter the highs are regularly in the 60's with winter lows in the 40's       overnight here at Sandy Pond. It's a magnificent idea to stop by Cypress Slough, it's near Sandy Pond, and swamps like Picketts Bay are fun to visit. Sandy Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is April. Camping is available at Seabreeze Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Apalach Inn. This lake is so wonderful.
