Sand Pond is a wonderful site to visit for more than one day, Basswater Lodge is a wonderful site to camp nearby, and why not explore close by Shady Brook if you're here at Sand Pond. After a long day outdoors Wildwood-Days Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two, and you're probably keen on lakes, Beltons Millpond is one of those close by. The high level of rainfall makes Sand Pond a relatively       wet location; the month with most of the rain is August while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Sand Pond you always meet someone from The Villages. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Sand Pond has to offer, you can camp at Turtleback RV Resort. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Sand Pond. At Sand Pond throughout the summertime highs are in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours                  it's generally in the 70's. All through the winter highs are in the 60's with temperatures at Sand Pond dipping down into the 40's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
