Sure, Tharp Mill Pond is in close proximity to Sand Pond, and Sunny Oaks Recreational Vehicle Park is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express CHIPLEY is a good choice; if you're here you can play some golf at Great Oaks Golf Course. Sand Pond gets lots of water; most of the rain falls through July, and the driest month is October. Sand Pond is a nice location to visit for more than       one day, Northwest Florida Campground is a nice location to camp nearby, and after a long day outdoors Americas Best Inns Marianna is a good site to spend a night or two.
