Summertime at Sand Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 60's while the cold winter nights at Sand Pond are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Vortex Spring is a delightful spot to do that; after a long day outdoors Defuniak Springs Super 8 Motel is a pleasant location to spend a night       or two. Sand Pond gets lots of water; during the month of July you get the most rain around here while October is ordinarily the driest month. Lakes are great; Berry Ann Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Sand Pond, and getting to Mill Creek from Sand Pond is trouble-free.
