Just can't get enough of Sand Pond. A golf course near Sand Pond is Whispering Oaks Country Club; Days Inn Brooksville is a glorious place to get some rest. Through the days of summer highs here at Sand Pond reach the 90's; the night is a little colder of course, frequently       in the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are ordinarily in the 60's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Sand Pond temperatures descend to the 40's. Swamps don’t sound that good but Spring Hammock Run near Sand Pond is quite good. There are other places here than Sand Pond, for example Island Prairie Pond; some interesting geology is available here, Rock Bluff is right here. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at                  everything Sand Pond has to offer, you can camp at Breezy Oaks; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BROOKSVILLE-I-75. Sand Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August while October is regularly the driest month.
