For the period of the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 90's at Sand Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 60's; overnight lows at Sand Lake throughout the winter typically drop into the 30's. People from Tallahassee love to come to Sand Lake. The high level of precipitation makes Sand Lake a reasonably wet site; most of the rain falls       through July, and the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid place to camp here at Sand Lake is Panacea RV Park; for you golfers we recommend nearby Wildwood Country Club. Camping at Holiday Park and Campground is always a pleasant experience, and don't forget to check out Dickerson Bay since you're here. Take a look at nearby Alligator Lake.
