Sand Lake is a relatively wet place usually with lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and April on the other hand is the driest. Camping at Deer Creek Golf and Tennis Resort is always a tremendous experience, and Lost Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. If you need a spot to stay Quality Inn Davenport is a good choice.       Camping is available at Mouse Mountain RV and Camping, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ORLANDO SOUTH-DAVENPORT is a great place to get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Sand Lake; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 70's with temperatures at Sand Lake dipping down into the 50's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
