Lots of folks from Lake City come to Sailor Hole. Summertime highs at Sailor Hole regularly tend to be in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 60's while Sailor Hole nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park is a pleasant campground nearby; if you need a place to stay       Comfort Suites Lake City is a fine choice. So many entertaining things to do at Sailor Hole, so little time. There are other spots here than Sailor Hole, for example Button Bush Pond; if you came for an overnight stay Lee's Country Campground is a brilliant site to camp. Sailor Hole gets a good deal of water; August is the month that gets the most rain; October on the other hand is the driest. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Suwannee River,                  and a great swamp in close proximity to Sailor Hole is Greens Prairie. Not far from Sailor Hole, you'll hit upon Pasture Pond which is a scenic lake; unsurprisingly Sal Marie Branch flows through this area.
