The high level of rainfall makes Rock Lake a quite wet location; during June this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is December. Rock Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Palmdale Campground is a great local campground; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LAKE PLACID is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. Here at Rock Lake you'll almost certainly meet       some people from Clewiston, and Ramada Inn Lake Placid Conference Center is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hendry's Sabal Palms is a fine place for that. Lakes are great; Lykes Brothers Pond is a lake that's near Rock Lake. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Rock Lake reach the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the                  60's.
