Pretty Pond is a wet spot that gets a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest of the months is October. All the outdoors fun stuff right next door to Pretty Pond will keep you coming back time and again. There are swamps here too; Gum Slough is around here. Lakes are great; Bachelor Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Pretty Pond. The warmest time of       the year brings highs in the 90's to Pretty Pond. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 70's. The winter comes with highs in the 60's while Pretty Pond night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Suwannee River, and if you need a place to stay Royal Inn is a tremendous choice. Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and Campground is a splendid                  campground here; if you came for an overnight stay Suwannee River State Park is a fine place to camp.
