Lake Placid is great enough to spend more than a day at, Collier-Seminole State Park is a great local campground, and do check out Barron River while you're here at Lake Placid. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Naples, and if you came to camp Glades Haven is a magnificent place to do that. Lake Placid gets a lot of water; June is the wettest month with most rain; December is the month with the       least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Port of the Islands Resort and Marina is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. The warmest time of the year at Lake Placid arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 70's.
