     Perch Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Kingsley Beach RV Campground and Resort is a great local campground; dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Starke. Perch Pond generally gets a large amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is October. Summertime highs at Perch Pond regularly tend to be in the 90's, and all through summer nights temperatures  
   are in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 60's, and night lows in the 30's for Perch Pond. You'll come across a pretty lake called Blue Pond near Perch Pond.
If you came to camp Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park is a glorious place to do that, and after a long day outdoors Red Carpet Inn Starke is a delightful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Keystone Golf & Country Club is nearby, and do stop at Stevens Lake, it's a scenic lake.
