Just getting warmed up. An afternoon playing golf       at Sandy Pines Golf Club is always a joy, and camping at Vortex Spring is always a delightful experience. All the water falling down from the sky makes Peacock Pond a wet place; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October on the other hand is the driest. There are swamps here too; Blackman Swamp is close at hand, and the summit of Mill Spring Hill can be spotted from Peacock Pond. Summer at Peacock Pond arrives with high temperatures                  in the 90's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 60's with temperatures at Peacock Pond dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Super 8 Defuniak Springs is a delightful site to get some rest, and Blue Spring is a beautiful location to go to while you're at Peacock Pond.
