Lakes are great; Dorman Pond is a lake that's next to Peacock Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and Campground, and a magnificent close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Live Oak, Fl. A splendid site to camp here

| | at Peacock Lake is Suwannee River State Park, and paddling on Suwannee River is so much fun. High temperatures at Peacock Lake throughout the warm days of summer are in the 90's. Summer night lows sink down to the 70's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 60's while the cold winter nights at Peacock Lake are in the 30's. A lot of rainfall falls at Peacock Lake; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; October is when it's the driest.
