A quick trip to Sal Marie Branch next to Pasture Pond is a perfect idea, and people from Lake City love to come here. A swamp like Greens Prairie close to Pasture Pond has lots of exciting things to see, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Live Oak. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Pasture Pond get into the 90's, and the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Pasture Pond fall into the 30's. Be careful coming to Pasture Pond, you might not ever want to return home again. There's so much to do here at Pasture Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park
is a good place for that; Americas Best Value Inn is a wonderful location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Pasture Pond, for example Button Bush Pond, and Falling Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot close by.
