Owens Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while October is usually the driest month. This is a popular site for folks from Lake City, and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn-White Springs/Live Oak. At Owens Pond through the summertime months highs are in the 90's. Once the       sun is down it plunges down to the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 60's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at Owens Pond. Owens Pond is a delightful location to visit for more than one day, Shady Grove Mobile Home Park is a delightful location to camp nearby, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Falling Creek. Sure, Moore Pond is just a very short distance away. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Suwannee River, and there's tremendous hiking along the Osceola Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
