Orange Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Econo Lodge Gateway is a glorious place to get some rest, and camping at Briarwood Travel Villa is always a glorious experience. Dry warm beds await you at River Side Inn New Port Richey, and some close by water includes Oyster Creek. Seven Springs Golf & Country Club is a great golf course close by, and Cross Bayou is an out of the ordinary swamp right next door to Orange Lake.

| | may think that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Orange Lake. You'll meet a lot of people from Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater here. Don't leave Orange Lake without first checking out Tokel Bend; a fine place to camp here at Orange Lake is Caladesi Island State Park. Orange Lake is a quite wet place ordinarily with a large amount of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here while April is mostly the driest month.

Through the summertime here at Orange Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 70's. Highs all through the wintertime are regularly in the 60's with temperatures at Orange Lake dipping down into the 40's during winter nights.
