Lake Nona sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Canaveral National Seashore is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and swamps like Bull Slough are fun to go to. KOA Kampgrounds is a magnificent local campground; dry warm beds await you at Marriott Orlando Airport. Lake Nona is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Orlando SE/Lake Whippoorwill KOA is a perfect site to camp nearby, and a round of golf at nearby North Shore Golf Club is a tremendous way to kill some time. You'll meet a lot of folks from Orlando here; after                  a long day outdoors Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is a nice place to spend a night or two. For the duration of the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 90's at Lake Nona. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 70's.
