Not far from Mud Lake you locate Beresford Peninsula, and it's a nice idea to stop at Hontoon Dead River. Mud Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and December is when it's the driest. For the duration of the days of summer here at Mud Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 90's; the night is a little chillier of course, mostly in the       70's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 60's; nighttime lows in the 40's for Mud Lake. Mud Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Tropical Resort and Marina is a great location to camp nearby, and a swamp like Botts Creek close to Mud Lake has lots of exciting things to see. Mud Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. Dry warm beds await you at Tropical Resort and Marina; you can stay the night                  at Highland Park Fish Camp. While you're here at Mud Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach; if you need a spot to stay Orange City-Days Inn is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Southridge Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time, and if you've had enough of Mud Lake, Dade Lake is close by. Mud Lake is not the only location close by, Lake Beresford is a close by lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Flatwoods Trail.
