Summertime highs at Mud Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 70's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 70's, and winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Mud Lake. After a long day outdoors Red Rose Inn and Suites is a delightful place to spend a night or two; Citrus Hills RV Park is a good campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful.       If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Walden Lake Golf & Country Club is nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Plant City. Mud Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is April.
