Dry warm beds await you at Port of the Islands Resort and Marina, and there's tremendous hiking along the Polks Trail. Mud Lake is a rather wet place usually with a great deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most while December is the month with the least       amount of precipitation. Camping at Big Cypress Campgrounds is always a good experience. Summertime highs at Mud Lake mostly tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 70's. The winter comes with highs in the 70's, and night lows during the winter for Mud Lake tend to be in the 40's. This lake is so wonderful.
