Summer brings highs in the 90's to Mud Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 70's with temperatures at Mud Lake dipping down into the 40's through winter nights. Big Cypress Campgrounds is a good campground nearby; the Bluebird Trail offers hiking at its best. Lakes are great; Burns Lake is       a lake that's in close proximity to Mud Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Polks Trail. This lake is so wonderful. This is a great neighborhood for people who like lakes. Whidden Lake is a lake nearby, and if you need a place to stay Port of the Islands Resort and Marina is a great choice.
