Moore Pond is a great location to visit for more than one day, Shady Grove Mobile Home Park is a great location to camp nearby; after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Lake City is a glorious location to spend a night or two. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Moore Pond; Osceola Trail is a great local trail. Whitewater paddling is nice on Falling Creek, and Owens Pond       is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. All the water falling down from the sky makes Moore Pond a wet spot; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Suwannee River; stop by nearby Tiger Bay.
