The Noble Hammock Canoe Trail offers hiking at its best, and Santini Bight is relatively close. Holiday Isle Beach Resorts and Marina is a great place to get some rest; hiking is a popular thing to do around Monroe Lake; Crocodile Point Trail is a brilliant local trail. The high level of precipitation makes Monroe Lake a reasonably wet spot; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here; the driest month of       the year is December. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Chesapeake Beach Resort is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and swamps don’t sound that great but McCormick Creek next to Monroe Lake is rather great. Monroe Lake is right by the Hells Bay Canoe Trail. All through the warm days of summer at Monroe Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 70's.
