A great spot to camp here at Lake Mize is Ranch Motel and Camping Park, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Gainesville. Lake Mize gets a lot of water; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while October is regularly the driest month. A magnificent close by hotel is Classic Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Knights Inn is a tremendous place to get some       rest; a forest close by is Austin Cary Memorial Forest. Summer at Lake Mize comes with high temperatures in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Lake Mize.
