If you are traveling by, why not stop by Metcalf Lake. This lake is so wonderful. During your journey to Metcalf Lake you'll meet some people from Tallahassee for sure, and hey, Little Chaires Creek is a magnificent local stream. If you came for an overnight stay Camp Florida Resorts is a magnificent spot to camp. For the period of the summer months, highs mostly are in the 90's at Metcalf Lake, and the night is quite colder of course, regularly in the 70's.

| | Through the winter this place gets highs in the 60's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Metcalf Lake. Camping at Metcalf Lake is glorious fun, Alligator Point Koa Campground is a glorious local campground; Buddy Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. Granit Point is not far from Metcalf Lake at all, and Wilson Beach is a wonderful beach to stop by. Metcalf Lake typically gets much rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and October is when it's the driest.
