Summertime at McCarthy Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 60's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at McCarthy Lake. This lake is so wonderful. McCarthy Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Lake Oklawaha RV Resort is a good site to camp       nearby, and after a long day outdoors Scottish Inns Silver Springs is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Stay the night at Kelly's Rv & Mobile Home Park; McCarthy Lake is not the only place close by, Picnic Lake is a close by lake. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at McCarthy Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes McCarthy Lake a wet site; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that                  rains the most; October is the month with the least moisture.
