You could also stop by Wade Prairie if you're here at May Prairie; it's close by, and the nice folks of Homosassa Springs like to hang out nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes May Prairie a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is August while October is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Our climate can be quite dry from October thru May. June and July is when we get the most rain. Through the lazy days of summer our temperatures mostly get into the 90's, with nighttime temps sliding into the 70's. High's in the winter ordinarily stay in the 60-70 degree range with nighttime lows in the 45-60 range.
