Martin Pond is a nice lake to visit. For the period of the long summer days at Martin Pond highs are regularly in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Martin Pond sink into the 30's. Martin Pond gets lots of water; most of the rain falls all through March, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.

Powell Spring Branch is a charming stream that is worth taking a look at. Stay the night at Action On Blackwater Canoe Rental and Campground; a splendid close by hotel is Jameson Inn Crestview. If you get bored of Martin Pond, you could also check out close by A J Kennedy Pond One; Econo Lodge Crestview is a great spot to get some rest.
