Long Lake is not far at all from Palatka; Red Carpet Inn Starke is a fine site to get some rest. Long Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is October. If you need a place to stay       Sleep Inn & Suites Waldo is a good choice; enjoy a round of golf at Gator Landing Golf Club & Camp Ground. Just can't get enough of Long Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not take a look at Mason Lake near Long Lake, and you can stay the night at Lake Swan Camp Office. High temperatures at Long Lake during the summer months are in the 90's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's.
