Long Lake is a reasonably wet place commonly with a good deal of rain; June is the month that gets the most rain while December is typically the driest month. A great swamp close to Long Lake is Alligator Creek, of course you could also have a look at Cuthbert Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Just can't get enough of Long Lake.
