Suwannee River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by, and Ox Pond is a glorious lake nearby. The high level of rainfall makes Lake Lona a rather wet place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is October. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Lake Lona has it all. If you came to camp Inn and Out RV Park is a wonderful       location to do that, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Falling Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Lake City, and there are good places to discover along the Osceola Trail. Summer at Lake Lona arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 70's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 60's, and night lows at Lake Lona throughout the wintertime                  regularly plunge into the 40's. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not visit Ogden Lake near Lake Lona, and you're sure to run into some wonderful folks from Lake City here. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Lona is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Casey Jones Campgrounds is a splendid local campground, and golf can be played at Quail Heights Country Club.
