Lighter Bayou is a wet site that gets a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while April is generally the driest month. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lighter Bayou has to offer, you can camp at Sundance Lakes Travel Resort, and do schedule some time to stop by Bayonet Point if you have a chance. Port Richey Travelodge is a pleasant place       to get some rest, and let's not forget Britches Creek which is a stream that you may come across during your stay. During the days of summer here at Lighter Bayou, high temperatures usually get into the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 70's. This lake is so wonderful.
