Duval's RV Park is a brilliant campground nearby, and a good nearby hotel is The Central Motel. L Pond is a location with many visitors from The Villages; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Big Pond. L Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; during       the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is October. High temperatures at L Pond through the summer months are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at L Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Gum Slough; a great place like Buck Prairie here at L Pond is too                  great to miss. What a place this is for outdoors folks. A swamp like Battle Slough close to L Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see.
