Go to Jumper Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the West Fort Island Trail; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Homosassa Springs. Jumper Lake is a pretty wet place mostly with a good deal of rainfall; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent site to camp here at Jumper Lake is Fin and Feather Fish Camp and Trlr, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Crystal River-Days Inn. Camping is available at Lake Rousseau RV Park, and a lake close by is Big Bay Lake. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Jumper Lake is great! Swamps are interesting spots and Big Bay next to Jumper Lake is no exception.

During the long summer days at Jumper Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 60's, and night lows in the 40's for Jumper Lake.
