This lake is so wonderful. One of the principal characteristics of the surroundings of Jones Lake is Sand Mound, and Black Jack Creek Camp Ground is a pleasant local campground. Jones Lake gets a lot of water; July is the wettest month with most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.       Just can't get enough of Jones Lake. Bray Mill Creek is a good place to stop at. Dry warm beds await you at Brewton-Days Inn; there are other locations here than Jones Lake, for example Clear Lake. If you need a spot to stay Brewton Inn is a wonderful choice, and Jones Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Farmer's Opry House is a tremendous place to camp nearby. At Jones Lake during the warm months highs are in the 90's. For the duration                  of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's.
