If you are traveling by, why not stop by Jack Pond. A magnificent nearby hotel is Defuniak Springs Super 8 Motel, and on a good day you can stop at Anderson Bay, a swamp near Jack Pond. At Jack Pond through the warm months highs are in the 90's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 60's while Jack Pond nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Bass Haven

| | Camp Ground is a wonderful campground here, and Richland Pond is a tremendous lake close by.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Jack Pond a wet location; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Stay the night at Juniper Lake Camp Ground, and a quick visit to Camp Creek is definitely a good idea. After a long day outdoors Best Value Inn - Defuniak Springs is a pleasant site to spend a night or two.
