All the water falling down from the sky makes Horse Pond a wet spot; August is when you get the most rain here; October on the other hand is the driest. The Osceola Trail is a brilliant hiking trail near Horse Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn - I-10 Lake City. You just can't envision the                  amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area close to Horse Pond has to offer. Take a look at close by Bottom Bay, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Falling Creek. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Lake City is a great place to spend a night or two; needless to say, this is a fine neighborhood for people who like lakes, Barbara Lake is a lake around here. This lake is so wonderful. Falling Creek is a great local stream, and you can stay the night at Lee's Country Campground. High temperatures at Horse Pond all through the days of summer are in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's.
