Lake Armistead is a good lake right next door to Horse Lake, and Horse Lake is a good spot to camp, Avalon RV Resort is a good spot. All through the warm days of summer here at Horse Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 90's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 70's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's, and nighttime lows in the 40's for Horse Lake. There are plenty of folks from       Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater here at Horse Lake. Horse Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is April. This lake is so wonderful.
