Summertime highs at Horse Lake commonly tend to be in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 70's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 60's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Horse Lake fall into the 40's. What a place this is for outdoors folks. There are swamps here too; Harris Pond is in close proximity, and an afternoon playing golf at World Woods Golf Club is always a joy.       If you get bored of Horse Lake, you could also go to close by Skinner Lake, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BROOKSVILLE WEST is a perfect place to get some rest. Camping is available at Avalon Travel Trailer Park; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Weeki Wachee. This lake is so wonderful. Turkey Prairie is a good site to check out; there are plenty of people from Homosassa Springs here at Horse Lake. Why not camp at Clearwater Travel Resort                  since you're here at Horse Lake, and Horse Lake is not the only place nearby, Stafford Lake is a nearby lake.
