There are swamps here too; Beech Bay is in the neighborhood, and Vortex Spring is a wonderful campground here. Hood Sand Pond is a pretty wet place usually with much precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. Dry warm beds await you at Bonifay Inn. For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Hood Sand Pond get into the 90's with nighttime       lows in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 60's while the cold winter nights at Hood Sand Pond are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
