This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Hokey Lake without first going for a hike along the Ocala National Recreation Trail, and if you need a location to stay Lake View Motel is a good choice. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Cowarts Lake, and Hokey Lake is great enough to spend more than       a day at, Sunny Sands Nudist Resort is a great local campground. Good hiking is available along the Flatwoods Trail, and not far from Hokey Lake you'll locate Lake Roberts which is a beautiful lake. Hokey Lake is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is November. Summertime highs at Hokey Lake mostly tend to be in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in                  the 70's.
