All the water falling down from the sky makes Hog Pond a wet site; the month with most of the rain is August, and October is when it's the driest. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hog Pond has to offer, you can camp at Sandy Oaks RV Park; a golf course close by is Lakeside Country Club. A splendid close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites INVERNESS. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Citrus       Hills Lodge is a perfect location to get some rest; lots of people from Homosassa Springs come here. Summertime highs at Hog Pond mostly tend to be in the 90's with overnight lows in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 60's, and overnight lows in the 40's for Hog Pond.
