What a place this is for outdoors people. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Sleep Inn & Suites is a nice place to spend a night or two; folks from Palatka love to come here. Summer at Hewitt Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 60's; nighttime lows all through       the wintertime for Hewitt Lakes tend to be in the 40's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Hewitt Lakes a wet location; the month with most of the rain is August, and October on the other hand is the driest. Hewitt Lakes is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Lake Oklawaha RV Resort is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and naturally Cabbage Creek flows through this area. If you get bored of Hewitt Lakes, you could also pop by close                  by Skinner Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hewitt Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Kelly's Rv & Mobile Home Park.
