Lake Hermosa gets lots of water; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is November. This lake is so wonderful. A charming lake like Lake Etowah right next door to Lake Hermosa is a great place to explore, and camping is available at Holiday Mobile Park. Do have       a look at Green Lake close to Lake Hermosa, it's a picturesque lake, and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Flatwoods Trail. On a nice day at Lake Hermosa you can take a hike along the Baptist Lake Trasil, and playing golf is lots of fun at Mount Dora Golf Club. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do right next door to Lake Hermosa. After a long day outdoors Best Western Lake County Inn & Suites is a magnificent site to spend a night                  or two, and going for a hike on the Prairie Trail is always a glorious adventure. During the summer months at Lake Hermosa highs are mostly in the 90's; the overnight is a little colder of course, frequently in the 70's.
