Good hiking is available along the Osceola Trail; Hancock Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Lee's Country Campground is a great location to camp nearby. Hancock Lake gets a great deal of water; through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month       is October. What a location this is for outdoors people. A lake close by is Orange Pond, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Lake City is a good site to spend a night or two. While you're here at Hancock Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Lake City. Through the summer, highs usually are in the 90's at Hancock Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 70's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's, and                  winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Hancock Lake. Inn and Out RV Park is a great campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lake City Inn. This lake is so wonderful.
