Half Open Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Camel Lake Campground is a nice local campground, and swamps like Fiddlestring Bay are fun to stop by. Half Open Pond is a quite wet place regularly with lots of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most, and April meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for       a hike along the Trail of the Lakes will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and let's not forget Mill Creek which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay. Through the days of summer here at Half Open Pond, high temperatures usually get into the 90's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, commonly in the 70's.
