There's so much to do here at Goose Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Oaks Campground is a splendid location for that. The high level of rain makes Goose Pond a quite wet spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while October is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Akins Pond, and you'll probably meet       some folks from The Villages here. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 90's at Goose Pond. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 70's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 60's while the cold winter nights at Goose Pond are in the 40's.
